To kick off New York’s Fall 2013 art season, over a dozen galleries in the historic neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn open their doors to art seekers from near and far.Greenpoint Gallery Night returns in time for the art world’s grand re-awakening on Friday, Sept. 13th from 6-9pm. This free evening art stroll will be the second installment of regular Greenpoint gallery nights that are held three times a year. Visitors are invited to explore the diverse array of exhibition spaces in the neighborhood which is also home to hundreds of working artists. Art seekers can explore tree-lined streets, marvel at the amazing views of Manhattan across the East River, and sample local bars, restaurants, and shops as they visit each participating gallery in this unique part of North Brooklyn.

Two local gallery directors, Lia Post of Fowler Project Space and Scott Chasse of Calico, have voluntarily organized this Sept. 13th event to shed light on the exceptional galleries and art organizations that call Greenpoint their home.
