In Layers
Yes Gallery is proud to present “In Layers” an exhibition featuring works by Thomas Bevan, Soo Im Lee, and Margie Neuhaus, curated by Lesley Doukhowetzky.
Please join us for a reception on Friday August 5th, 2011 from 7-10pm. In Layers shows a variety of work depicting layers of all different mediums from water color and ink to vellum string and fabric. Soo Im Lee paints people mingling through dense layers of words while Thomas Bevan’s sculptures have objects that are beautifully wrapped in many layers of colorful fabrics. Margie Neauhau’s sculptures and works on paper elicit magical and unsettling feelings of transit through unfamiliar worlds, allowing viewers to imagine what is under the surface, to assist our understanding of the world, and to see inside the layers and be within.
