Yes Gallery is proud to present Ale ́ Ale ́ an exhibition featuring works by E. K. Buckley, curated by Lesley Doukhowetzky.

E.K. Buckley is a figurative painter working in Brookyln whose focus is bold, eerie nudes. Her works in oil, rely on stark gestures that produce poses ranging from balletic to violent. Buckley combines the heft of unrefined mark-making with elegance, creating forms with an extreme economy of illustrated description. Her subject matter is often drawn from her early training in music and literature, and her love of dance is clear in her uncanny ability to capture the body in movement. Buckley’s work in ink includes an austere series of crows; simple gestures that show her reliance on the raw mark, at times describing the bird in just a few stark and fast pen strokes. Her recent body of work includes large, distressed pieces on paper of women in mixed media. Buckley’s art could be described as Ale ́ Ale ́, a state of bursting inspiration and creativity. March 9–11, 2012New York, NY—On March 9-11, Fountain Art Fair will open its doors at the 69th Regiment Armory for its seventh annual New York edition. An exhibition known for its vibrant energy, focus on daring emerging art, and disregard for convention, Fountain is committed to representing today’s most cutting-edge artists and galleries in its new home at the 69th Armory, a historical city landmark and site of the original 1913 Armory Show. Fountain opens for a VIP and Press Preview on Friday, March 9 from 1-7pm, followed by a public opening night reception from 7-11pm, complete with a performance by musical legend Fab 5 Freddy for an unforgettable kick-off celebration.Fountain is proud to be partnering with Art for Progress, a non-profit providing dynamic, creative arts education programming for under-served youth. Art For Progress will be exhibiting a diverse selection of work from its most promising visual artists and a special exhibit featuring student artists from various high school programs in New York City.

Yes Gallery is proud to present” Organic Lust” an exhibition featuring works by Kenneth Ian, curated by Lesley Doukhowetzky.
Kenneth Ian depicts organic forms which naturally blend together to create patterns
replicating nature’s perfection. Ian’s trust in the earths energy is evident when viewing
his paintings which seem to have an energy of their own. It is as if the direction of the
paint is predetermined on its own path, meandering like water or flowing like lava.
Kenneth’s use of rich colors is just what one would expect to see in forces of nature.
When you can not be surrounded by live nature, one might lust over being exposed to
Ian’s organic art.

Yes Gallery is proud to present “Concrete Garden” an exhibition featuring works by Nicole Handel curated by Lesley Doukhowetzky. Please join us for a reception on Friday October 14th 2011 from 7-10pm.

Nichole Handel’s work is concerned with the interface between childhood fantasy and everyday reality. Her understanding reflects a rapport that is animated by an approach to culture and urban settings that represent a technical sensibility rather than advancing particular ideology.

Raised in New England but now resides in Brooklyn for the past ten years, Nicole superimposes her inclination toward the pastoral over the spatial constraints of her current geography. She traces watercolor images in an asymmetrical, irregular fashion to signify her impetus to instill restraint over disorder as well as frame the artist’s struggle to embrace the organic while generating something novel. Nichole’s work depicts flowers and fish emerging through concrete architecture and every day city views creating a Concrete Garden.
